This stunning 54-acre mountain estate, set in real, rugged mountain countryside has thirteen holiday villas and five swimming pools.

On the edge of the Grazalema Natural Park, the estate is accessed by a three kilometre track from the village of El Gastor. The track is in good condition and certainly, anyone looking for Andalucian rural tranquility will treasure this unspoilt paradise.

The main house, a renovated old farmhouse, has a clay pan-tiled roof, minaret tower, white walls and wood-framed windows, following the traditional Andalucian style.

The charm continues inside, with terracotta tile floors, beamed ceilings and beautiful wall tiles. The interior design is deliberately rustic and in keeping with the countryside surroundings. This villa is a fabulous place to unwind and explore the authentic side of rural Andalucia, but please do not expect luxury, it is a genuine country house.

Wake up to birdsong each morning and walk with eagles soaring overhead.

The main house is ideal for family gatherings of up to 10 people. Set in five acres of private gardens, with a magnificent 12 m x 5 m swimming pool, you will have total privacy.

The interiors are spacious and light. Downstairs is the living room, a large lounge, a rustic country-style kitchen and two twin bedrooms that share a bathroom. Upstairs there is another sitting room and two double bedrooms, both with en suite bathrooms.

For groups of 10, there is a little cottage alongside the main house. The cottage offers a double bedroom, a kitchenette and en suite shower room.

The landscape in this part of Andalucia is unspoilt forest and is a habitat for many species of animals. The birdlife is particularly diverse and it’s not unusual to see eagles circling overhead. There are many good hikes to enjoy.

This villa is somewhere to relax and unwind, to walk, to read, to write, or just lounge by the pool and soak up the fabulous nature all around you. A communal tennis court completes the perfect holiday setting.

Bookings at this property run from Sunday to Sunday in August. Please ask about flexibility the rest of the year.

The pool is open all year but as it is not heated the swimming pool season is from late April to late September.

Please, no smoking in the house.
