From €1,285 To 1,625/ week

Andalucian living at its finest

Look out from this beautiful country house to rolling hills of endless olive groves.

At a glance: bedrooms: 4, sleeping: 4 to 7 || Distance: 5 km from town

Just relax and enjoy the pace of rural life

The traditional ways of olive cultivation take time, there's no need to rush here.

This most attractive holiday villa is set among rolling hills of endless olive groves – It would be hard to find a more authentic Andalucian setting.

The property is accessed by a well maintained but steep track and is set in 10 acres of private land, mostly dedicated to olive orchards.

Closer to the house you will find a wide variety of fruit trees from which you are welcome to pick the fruit … there is also a wonderful vegetable garden from which you can enjoy all kinds of delicious produce, depending on the season.

Surrounding the house and pool, the terraces are lawned. The fenced (and gated) pool is on the lower terrace, accessed by steps, it is surrounded by a stone walkway and grass. There are plenty of sun-loungers to enjoy the sun, or lie under the shade of one of the nearby trees.

Such an authentic corner of Andalucía

A holiday here will offer you poolside fun, day trips, culture and of course, Spanish sunshine!

A few steps up, at the edge of the pool area, is an attractive vine-covered terrace, complete with table and chairs, the ideal place to enjoy an after swim snack and a cool drink.

With so many seating areas to choose from around the garden – and several covered dining areas, for al fresco breakfasts, lunches and dinners….the outdoor kitchen, complete with brick oven, built-in barbecue and large food prep area, you will be spoilt for choice and you will have little reason to go inside.

But the inside is lovely too – the owner is an interior designer and her good taste can be appreciated everywhere. The cosy living room with open fireplace (for cooler days and nights), comfy sofas and an indoor dining table, connects through to the large well-equipped kitchen.

The kitchen in turn leads onto the outdoor dining area, under yet another shady vine-covered terrace … more indoor-outdoor options. There is a bathroom on the ground floor.

Upstairs are three double bedrooms. The first double bedroom is reached by just 6 steps up from the living room. This bedroom has its own en suite bathroom.

The other two double bedrooms are up a further flight of stairs and share a bathroom.

The fourth bedroom is a room for the younger members of the group, it is on the lower ground floor and has two sets of bunk beds.

This IS olive country and life here is governed by the olive crop. The harvest, the pruning, the burning, the ploughing … whatever the time of year there is always something going on in the olive groves. This is a wonderful land to wander through, the silver, green and gold of the olive leaves will delight and mesmerize you. Here you will find many country walks to enjoy, some starting right from your front door.

What do guests say about this villa?

We were wowed by the house and gardens from the moment we arrived! The owners have thought of everything to enable their guests to enjoy a superb holiday. The peace and tranquility -true escapism. We have enjoyed every minute. The chickens are an added bonus, supplying us with fresh eggs every day. Retiring to the BBQ House in the evening, enjoying a glass of wine and listening to the crickets! What more could we ask for. Thank you for sharing.

Mandy (Sep 2019)

We enjoyed our stay here. We went to Nerja and the Alhambra Palace for a day. Also there are herbs, vegetables and eggs that you can collect. You can have competitions in the pool or just relax and watch the birds take a sip of water. We had a wonderful time!

Anna 10 years old (Aug 2019)

Thanks a lot for such a nice stay! The house is perfect for spending family holiday and visiting the beautiful Granada. the owner’s hospitality with her explanation is providing you a welcome feeling. All the best to the hosts and future guests in this little paradise.

Didier (Aug 2019)

What a wonderful house and area! We have loved staying here, from the egg laying hens/ducks, the pool, the BBQ house, the many seating areas and obviously the house itself. The weather could have been kinder but it did mean we got out to explore -from the coast to the mountains. Thank you.

Beckie (Aug 2019)

Thank you for providing such a fantastic place for us to have a holiday -it was quiet and peaceful -very different from life in busy Valencia!! We have had a really great time and thankful to have chickens (and fresh eggs) and vegetables; something we miss from our UK life. We would love to return sometime- thanks again!

Julian (July 2019)

We are sad to be leaving your lovely house. We have thoroughly enjoyed our three week stay and will have happy memories. We never tired of the views across the olive groves to Sierra Nevada. There are plenty of alternative places to enjoy -Granada, of course, Cordoba and Úbeda. Bikings to Alcalá, Montefrío and Iznájar are also recommended. Thank you for your warm welcome and generosity.

Carolyn (June 2019)

We have all enjoyed staying at this beautiful villa. The gardens in particular were wonderful for the children with so much space to run around. The pool area is such a relaxing place, we all had so much fun. We are looking forward to returning and will return home with wonderful memories of a fantastic holiday. Thank you so much.

Saba Family (June 2019)

Thank you so much – we have had a lovely stat here. Wonderful views from the terrace, collecting eggs from the chickens and walking down to the river in the valley. The house was very comfortable -nice and cool during the day and a cozy fire in the evenings. We were even able to take advantage of the barbecue a couple of times as we had such good weather. A great place to stay with our family and Otto’s (11 months old) first visit to Spain. Plenty of things to do nearby for outings too. Thank you for taking time to show us around in such details at the start of our stay. We would definitely recommend the house to others.

Clare (March 2019)

We had a wonderful stay in the villa and the weather was superb. One trip we made to “Pantano de los Bermejales” will be remembered forever. The Alhambra Palace could not be missed a trip to Granada old town was excellent. Great stay.

Dean (August 2018)

A wonderfully relaxing 3 weeks. We loved everything about our stay. Kids made the most of the pool, ping-pong and badminton. Saw lots of colourful wildlife and even 2 ibex! Illora is great, discovered “La Terraza” which is the best bar in town. A summer pop up we think. Visited Montefrío and The Alhambra. The latter as amazing as everyone says. Thank you so much for our stay.

Chris (July/August 2018)

We came for the first time in 2011 and fell immediately in love with the house, this garden, this environment and the kindness of the owners. Year after year we come back and discover each year little improvement everywhere. Our children, our parents and ourselves find here peace, tranquility and the pleasures of life. We can’t thank you enough for everything you bring us though the wonderful holiday we spend here every year.
