Lazy summer holidays and active winter getaways

A holiday here will leave you rested and relaxed, whatever season you visit.

This lovely farmhouse is just one and a half kilometres from Montefrio, one of the prettiest and most picturesque villages of the Poniente Granadino, so much so that in 2015 Montefrío was chosen by National Geographic as having one of ‘The Most Beautiful Views in the World’.

Of the original farmhouse only the outer walls remain, everything else has been thoughtfully rebuilt to create a quality rural home. In the rolling hills of El Poniente, surrounded by a sea of olive trees, this is a wonderful place to stay.

The house is set in an acre of fenced, Mediterranean garden of olives, almonds, figs and lavender. Built on two levels—the interiors are modern in style, spacious and open-plan, yet the villa still retains a sense and air of its original farmhouse character.

Enjoy the grapevine’s shade

The terrace has facilities for shaded, outdoor dining overlooking the swimming pool.

On the ground floor is the very well equipped kitchen. On one side of the kitchen an arch opens to the comfy living room with double height, beamed ceiling.

From the other side of the kitchen is a study room, with a comfortable sofa bed. This study room can be used as a fourth bedroom if needed.

From the living room, a door leads to the downstairs twin bedroom with an en suite shower room and private terrace.

The other two bedrooms are upstairs. The master bedroom has a huge bed, a large en suite bathroom and immense views! The twin bedroom has an en suite shower room.

Outside, a terrace runs along the front of the house with three sets of French windows leading out from the living room and kitchen. To one end of the terrace is a vine-covered pergola with table, chairs and a built-in barbecue.

This is the place to unwind on balmy summer evenings, enjoying a meal, or a breakfast coffee with the first rays of sunshine.

Accessed by a few steps down from the terrace is the swimming pool (9 m x 4 m). After a refreshing swim, relax on one of the quality loungers, soak up the sunshine and fully immerse yourself in the peace of the olive trees all around.
