This delightful and modern two-bedroom holiday home is set in two acres of gardens and grounds, in the most serene and peaceful setting imaginable. A short private driveway leads up to a parking area, alongside the cobbled, wisteria-covered courtyard and entrance.

All on one level, entering directly into the attractive state-of-the-art kitchen, you are immediately at home. The spacious kitchen with a centre isle (one end of which is a creative wooden breakfast bar) has plenty of work space and a round dining table comfortably seating four, just in case you want to have a meal indoors. It is equipped with everything you need to make delicious meals, or maybe just a wonderful refreshing drink to enjoy on the terrace outside.

The kitchen leads into the heart of the house, the welcoming living room with plump, comfy leather sofas and armchairs gathered around a large coffee table. Some beautiful antique furniture, a large flat screen TV and a big, glass-fronted fireplace complete the setting for a perfect country sitting room.

From both the kitchen and the living room, French doors open onto the crowning glory of this home: the covered terrace that runs the length of the house. It’s furnished with comfortable white wicker terrace furniture and a dining area. Vine-covered arches frame the wide, undisturbed views – here is where you will enjoy most of your meals and much of the day. The views are mesmerizing – mile upon mile of glistening olive groves across to the magnificent snow-capped mountains of Sierra Nevada and the immense blue sky above. It’s a sight that will delight you – a view that invokes peacefulness and calm.

Both bedrooms are accessed from the living room, through authentic Castilian carved doors. The bedrooms have large double beds, both have en suite bathrooms (one with a shower over the bath, the other is a shower only). Each bedroom has a wall-mounted TV.  Both bedrooms are spacious, light and very comfortable.

A perfect location for exploring inland Andalucia

Here you will enjoy the pool, day trips, tapas, culture and of course, plenty of Andalucian sun and fun!

The terrace continues around to the side of the house, to the gated pool terrace and its inviting (6.5 x 3 m) pool. The pool gets the sun from dawn until dusk and there are plenty of loungers and chairs so you can relax in its rays all day. The pool will tempt you to enjoy many refreshing dips.

All around you is spectacular countryside, with the little village of Ermita Nueva, just over one kilometre away. Here it is as if time stood still, rural life goes on as usual . . . a bar, a bakery and a restaurant that offers local fare – there are not many tourists here. This is rural Andalucia for real with its slow and relaxed pace, the locals tending their vegetable gardens, the occasional tractor along the narrow country lanes that weave their way through the rolling hills amongst a million olive trees. It is peace on earth!

And if you want to venture out on a day trip to see the sights, you are close to the main Granada to Córdoba road, so from here it’s very easy to visit either of these wonderful cities. And, you are not too far from the motorway which heads south to Málaga and west to Sevilla.

Closer to home you have a grand selection of the most lovely little (or not so little) towns. To name just a few: Alcalá la Real is the closest, just 15 minutes’ drive; Priego de Cordoba and Montefrio are 30 minutes’ drive and Zuheros and Carcabuey are 45 minutes’ drive away. They are all definitely worth a visit.

Bookings at this property usually run from Saturday to Saturday but please ask about flexibility outside of high season.

Weather permitting, the swimming pool will be open from April to October but as it is not heated, swimming is usually best from May to early October.

Please, no smoking in the house.
