Holiday homes come in many styles, shapes and sizes, but few are as luxuriously magical and romantic as this two-bedroom house, tucked away above the village of Montecorto. Nestled between the pine woods and the village, concealed among clusters of bamboo, almond and olive trees, your privacy is guaranteed.

The exterior has true Andalucian charm, the interiors are award-winning, and the views are stunning!

The house is built into the rock, or you could say the house and rock have been sculpted together, with the rock becoming an integral part of the house and adding creative architectural and decorative features to all its rooms.

The interiors are contemporary and tasteful. On the ground floor the living room, kitchen/diner and study are all one bright, open space. From the centre, a skylight fills the room with light and each window offers a varying facet of the ever-changing southerly views.

Screed steps ‘weave’ down over the rock to the lower level. Here the master bedroom has a wonderful king size bed, a walk-in closet and panoramic views.

Also on this level is the amazing bathroom. The giant, round bathtub, built into the rock, with a rain shower, a hand shower and the views of the distant peaks, make this the most impressive bathroom imaginable.

There is a second double bedroom on the first floor, with doors leading to a roof terrace.

From the living room, three arched windows lead out onto the secluded terrace and pool area. You could not wish for a more heavenly place to spend your quality time together – lazing on the terrace enjoying the views or soaking in the waters of an infinity-edge plunge pool.

This house has everything you could wish for. The well-equipped kitchen could entice you to stay in and prepare dishes to be enjoyed on the terrace, with a glass, while watching the sunset and moonrise. And if you want to spend an evening indoors, there is a collection of music, films and books for your enjoyment.

 Property Information

The plunge pool will be open throughout the year, weather depending. As it is not heated the normal swimming season is from late April to early October.

No smoking please.

Due to the fact that this house is built on several levels, it is not suitable for young children under seven or people with mobility problems.

Bed linen and towels are changed once a week.

One hour of additional housekeeping on all weekdays is included in the price, although you are under no obligation of making use of this free service.

Additional maid, babysitting, horse riding and Bodega’s visit in Ronda are available on request in advance, paid locally.
Service of ‘tapas’ style meals available on request and payable locally.

What do guests say about this villa?

As you can see from the photos the house is very quirky, with its outcrops of rock, but is pleasant and well-appointed. The view from the terrace, which gets the sun from mid morning onwards, is amazing. The outside space is quite small but fine for two people. The second (small) bedroom is two flights of stairs away from the only bathroom. The location is brilliant – 10 minutes walk from the centre of the village where there are shops, bars, a basic restaurant and a bakery. The final bit of the drive is up a steep,gravel track.

We have just returned from a week at this house and as soon as we arrived we knew we were in for a special treat. This property really is a hideaway, perched right at the top of a friendly village where doing your daily shop is a pleasure. However, the highlight for us was the amazing terrace where, because of the delightful weather, we spent most of our time. However, the real attraction was the absolutely stunning views of the surrounding countryside, not only from the terrace but every area of the house. We spent very little time inside the house, but enjoyed preparing meals in the large and well-equipped kitchen. For those who wish for a flavour of local life in a beautiful setting, this would be hard to beat.

Our winter stay at this house was a real treat. When I first stepped in, I really gasped „wow!”. The place is decorated with excellent taste and great attention to detail. The things I particularly liked were the bathtub built into the rock, the kitchen mosaic and the collection of colourful rugs. However, the absolute best of the house is the splendid view over the mountains which you can enjoy from anywhere in the house. I can just imagine how great it would be to stay longer on the terrace and use the pool in the warmer months. Our holidays couldn’t have been better.
