A sense of space and calm
With its cream interior, the expansive living area exudes a gentle warmth.
This luxurious villa is situated in green countryside, just off the main Gaucin road, 0.8 km down a well maintained concrete track.
The house is on two levels, with most of the rooms on the ground floor and the master bedroom suite on the first floor. The house sleeps eight guests in four double bedded rooms. There is plenty of parking space at the front of the house.
The impressive front door opens to a small entrance lobby which, in turn, opens out to the vast living room/kitchen and dining space. There is a sense of space and order in the villa which is calming, welcoming and warm.
The living room is to the right of the entrance and is very smart with its cream decor and open fireplace. This light and pleasant room looks out to the sun terrace at the back. The dining table seats eight and is within convenient close proximity to the impressive kitchen.
The kitchen leads directly to the fabulous sun terrace.
The kitchen is enormous! It has two electric ovens, a 5-ring electric induction hob, two dishwashers and two American style fridge freezers with ice dispensers.
From the kitchen step out to the most gorgeous feature of this house—the south-facing sun terrace which runs the whole length of the back of the property.
The terrace is furnished for al fresco meals. With two ceiling fans to keep you cool in summer it is a beautiful place to spend the day.
A flight of steps at the other end of the sun terrace on the right takes you down, past the banana trees, to the swimming pool and gardens.
The swimming pool is huge and is surrounded by soft green grass and small trees. It’s totally private and secluded, relaxing and peaceful.
You can lie here all day, perhaps with some holiday reading, listening to the birds singing in the trees and taking a refreshing dip every now and again. That must surely be holiday heaven.
Comfort and ease
All the bedrooms in this superb house have electric window blinds, you can keep your room cool and dark at the flick of a switch.
Bedroom (1), the master bedroom, is at the top of the house, the only bedroom on the first floor.
This bedroom suite has a king-size double bed and is decorated in neutral colours, soothing and restful.
A bathroom is part of the bedroom itself. There is a walk-in shower and a WC tucked discreetly opposite the shower.
The rest of the three bedrooms in this villa are all on the ground floor, all doubles, all in a quiet part of the house.
Bedroom (2) has windows looking to the front and side of the property – green trees and gardens for both views. The bed is a double king-size. To keep you cool in summer, this room has lined, heavy curtains and a ceiling fan as well as the electric blinds already mentioned.
Bedroom (3) is next door to bedroom (2) and is very similar in layout and amenities. It has a king-size bed. This room has views to the trees at the side of the house.
Ideally located for other things to see
The whole package is an absolute delight from start to finish.
Along the same corridor is the bathroom for bedrooms (2) and (3).
This is a sparkling, bright room which looks out to the front of the house. It has twin hand basins, wc, bidet and full length bath with shower mixer taps. There is also a smart walk-in shower with limestone and buff tiles and a huge mirror above the basins. All the fittings are chunky, contemporary and gleaming chrome.
Bedroom (4) is to the left along the corridor, this is a bedroom suite comprising a large double bedroom, a bathroom and walk-in dressing room. The décor here is a mixture of coppers, chocolate and bronze – all very rich and stylish. The bed is a four poster, dark wooden bed with reading lamps and night tables.
Other furnishings are a large bureau, glass topped table with objets d’art and a useful full length mirror. Although the textiles are dark and sumptuous, the room itself is full of light as the two big windows let in sunshine and views.
The spacious en suite bathroom is a stunner! It has twin hand basin, a full bath and walk-in shower as well. The room is so light because of the two huge windows, one above the bath with hillside views and the other looking out to the sun terrace at the back of the house. The whole bathroom is pristine and absolutely immaculate.
All in all, this villa is beautifully kept and of a truly high standard of comfort and luxury.
The location of the property is ideal for exploring further inland: the pretty white villages of Casares, Colmenar and Gaucín are close by, as are the cultural attractions of Ronda. A day trip to the beach is an easy prospect with the coast being half an hour’s drive.
