Cheerful, conventional and neat
In one of the most lovely Pueblos Blancos in Andalucía
It has all the ingredients: the location, the views, the (small) private swimming pool – it is the perfect base for a young family or small group of friends wanting to explore the Ronda Mountains and the wonderful Pueblos Blancos.
The pool terrace enjoys the magnificent views down the valley and across
One of the first village houses as you drive into Gaucin. On the main road coming up from the coast, not a busy road but it gives you great access to day trips away. From here the world is your oyster – the Costa del Sol, the Costa de la Luz, Ronda, Sevilla, even Morocco … Or just stroll into the most beautiful and best-loved village of Andalucia and enjoy shopping, having coffee, a meal or a night out on the town – it is all here right on your doorstep.
You will not be short of things to do in this delightful corner of rural Andalucía.
A village with just about all you will need
Surrounded by stunning countryside and endless walks.
This recently renovated unpretentious little house is lovingly cared for by its delightful Spanish owner. It has been restored and decorated in conventional local style. From the street you enter directly into the open plan living/dining room and kitchen – Small and well proportioned, here you will find everything you could expect to find in a well equipped, much loved home.
A homely living room, with two comfy sofas, a large flat-screen TV, a glass-fronted wood-burning stove makes it cosy on winter evenings. A kitchen-dining table that comfortably seats six for indoor meals and a well-equipped family kitchen area, with all the necessary kitchen equipment. On this ground floor there is also a bathroom (walk-in shower only)
Neatly and simply decorated, it’s an inexpensive option for anyone wanting a holiday home with privacy and a swimming pool in one of Spain’s most beautiful pueblos Blancos.
The views are far, wide and stunning
And Gaucin has all the pleasures of a true Andalucian village
The pool terrace is accessed from the kitchen/dining area – Again, this also is neat and well proportioned, with everything you need for a poolside holiday: the pool is small (4.6m x 2.4m) but big enough for a refreshing dip, there is a dining table and chairs for six under a shaded canopy, there are sun-loungers and umbrellas, there’s a BBQ and there are views to the huge panorama of magnificent, mountain splendour which spreads out in front of you, across the valley to Gibraltar and the Rif mountains of Morocco. You will not be disappointed.
Upstairs you have all the necessary features fitted into a efficacious space. There are three small, neat, clean and bright bedrooms – one double, one twin and one single – All decorated and furnished in keeping with the style and standard of the house. The second shower room is on this floor.
Gaucin is very pretty, relaxed and with real charm and you will not take long to find your favourite cafés or restaurant. It is one of Spain’s most beautiful pueblos Blancos, situated on a mountain ridge, 629 meters above sea level, the setting is magnificent and it’s surrounded by stunning countryside with many wonderful walking and depending on the time of year, an amazing variety of wildflowers. It has just about all the facilities you will need – small shops, a chemist, banks and, of course, a good selection of bars and restaurants
The Mediterranean, with its many beaches, golf courses and lively marinas is little more than 30 minutes away. And if you feel really adventurous take a boat trip to Tangiers in North Africa, it’s a different world!

What do guests say about this villa?
Caroline (Aug 2019)

The house is totally renovated, very well equipped and very clean. The atmosphere was breath-taking, the view to the mountains was beautiful. The town is friendly, you will find bars, restaurants, supermarkets there in a walk distance. The host was very helpful, she recommended programmes to participate in and a lot of places to visit. I definitely recommend this place if you would like to spend your holiday in a calm environment with fresh air, a little bit far from the beach side and if you have a car:) The closest beaches – in Sabinillas and in Estepona, about 30-40 km from Gaucín – are both very nice.
