This house is perfectly situated, on the edge of a bustling town with amenities and entertainment, yet with the feel of being in the country. The house is all on one level, sleeps two and for a such a sweet hideaway has a swimming pool that offers generous dimensions for the lucky couple who holiday here.

Although the house is so near town, it is set at the end of a private road, so it is safe and quiet with no passing traffic. You can park immediately outside the house, under the shade of an old olive tree. The road to the house is a well maintained track – a five minute walk will get you to the end of the lane and at the top of Orgiva town.

The house is secluded, surrounded by a high hedged wall and not overlooked by anyone. The entrance to the house and garden is through a large, lockable door— once the door is opened you’ll see an amazing blue swimming pool and pretty garden waiting for you.

The house is thoughtfully equipped and done out in a traditional style.

You step inside the house through the stable-type door to the living room with the kitchen area to the side. The style of the house is traditional Spanish with exposed ceiling beams, an open hearth, terracotta tiles and country-style pieces which decorate the walls. It is all done in an uncluttered way and the result is very pleasant and cosy.

It is lovely and cool in here, the sun is kept out by shutters and there are wall mounted aircon/heater units in the bedroom (and portable radiator in the bedroom too) and living room. The interior is nicely decorated, furnished with a sofa and small dining table, spotlessly clean and bright with all the glassware and crockery displayed in cabinets. For entertainment there is a TV, DVD player and CD player and a selection of English holiday paperback reading.

The good sized bedroom is done out in gentle blues and white, with white furniture: wardrobe, bedside cabinets and chest of drawers. The kitchen is well equipped and very clean, the owner kindly provides basic goods eg coffee, tea, sugar.

The garden is superb!

The pool is a stunning blue, so utterly tempting on a hot, sunny day.

The window from the kitchen looks out to the front garden and the wonderful swimming pool where the water is accessed by shallow steps. There are sunbeds and a parasol and a little table and chairs placed next to the pool, for peaceful relaxing days.

The garden is beautifully maintained with a well cut lawn both to the front and back of the house with an impressive palm tree at the entrance. All around are planted pots and borders full of flowers and shrubs. The garden extends to the back of the house, and is shaded by another tall palm and an olive tree, full of character.

To the back of house is a smart brick built barbecue and food preparation area with a sink too. You can eat your meals al fresco under the little veranda at the front of the house, enjoying a starry Spanish evening with a glass of wine.

The surrounding landscape offers a countryside view from the garden—a wide green meadow bordered by olive trees with the green mountain of the Sierra Lújar as a backdrop. Although the town is close by, in your secluded garden, it doesn’t feel like it. The church bell in the distance is a gentle reminder of life outside, but the breeze rustling the palm leaves is the main sound in your own holiday world.
