Peace is the key
Elements of nature have been thoughtfully captured, inside and out.

If you are looking for something a little different in beauty and style, this house is it. Not only is the villa set in a glorious landscape, but it has been designed to capture the very essence of calm.
The house is built all on one level, around an oriental patio garden. The rooms around this centrepiece have large glass doors so the presence of the garden is felt indoors. The whole villa has all the best features of a Japanese theme with clean uncluttered lines and a very simple colour scheme, white and ochre walls, dark brown woodwork and earth coloured furniture.
The house is located in open country on a private estate of 200 hectares (500 acres). The drive to the property is through wonderful scenery of green fields and mountains. From the picturesque village of Gaucín you wind your way down the valley until you come to the little village of La Cañada del Real Tesoro—the villa is a few kilometres from here. The Natural Park of Sierra de Grazalema, which offers unspoilt nature for hiking and bird watching, is on the doorstep.
It all works so well
The clean lines of the villa contrast delightfully with its natural surroundings.

The house has three double bedrooms, sleeping six. One of the bedrooms is a twin (with beds pushed together). All the bedrooms have en suite bathroom facilities and access to the outside through glass doors which are more like giant windows. The views to the outside are wonderful, the bedrooms look out to the garden or to the infinity swimming pool.
And what a wonderful swimming pool it is! The design of the pool is such that it looks like the water’s edge blends in with the trees along the side. The size of the pool is good: 9 x 4 m, and it is surrounded by an unfussy terrace which has room for a table and chairs. You can admire the view of the mountains from your chair with a cold drink and snacks to hand.
The peaceful surroundings of the villa outside are continued inside with the minimalist decor and uncluttered sense of style.
Topiary and bonsai
Wherever you look there is green beauty.
The villa has two living rooms. The larger one is furnished with two sofas, floor cushions and a low coffee table. Two of this room’s walls are huge glass doors. On one side is the vista of the infinity pool and the mountains beyond. The other side looks into the inner garden patio.
The second living room has two armchairs and a coffee table with black, oriental lines. The room looks directly into the patio garden. The rockery and trimmed topiary have been arranged in harmony. A little maple tree, beloved of Japanese gardens, completes the scene.
Continuing the oriental colour scheme, the kitchen is modern and smart in dark brown and white. It leads directly to the dining area which has a table for six. The dining room is also reminiscent of the far east with its simple, linear furniture and window blinds.
Even though each bedroom has its own en suite bathroom, there is also an extra bathroom with wc in the property. Throughout the house, orchid plants and bonsai flower arrangements have been used to good effect. These details really add to the style of the villa and show the high level of thought and care that has gone into its decoration.
The location of this villa is in a particularly lovely part of Andalucía, green and pretty, not far from a variety of things to do and see.
The iconic city of Ronda is not far and well worth the drive (through some spectacular scenery) cross country. Ronda is famous for its rich cultural history. Its 18th century bridge across the Tajo gorge and its magnificent bullring are just two of its wonderful attractions.
The Mediterranean coast is also an easy day trip. The sandy beaches of San Luis de Sabinillas and the charming Spanish seaside town of Estepona are recommended, for a family day out or a pleasant promenade with ice cream and tapas to finish.
This villa offers stylish relaxation with the opportunity to visit very Spanish sights, within easy reach, if you wish to explore.

More about this region
Ronda and Mountains
Ronda and its surrounding landscape has all that is symbolic of Andalucía—the land of passion, literary inspiration, bullfighting and romantic bandit stories. Its famous Puente Nuevo bridge, spanning El Tajo gorge, is unforgettable. Ronda is a magnificent city with a rich culture and history but this region also offers beautiful countryside, picturesque white villages like Gaucín, and the sea which is near enough for a day at the beach.
